The Montbrió Cooperative has been honored as a finalist in the Official “Alimentos de España Best Ripe Fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oils, 2025–2026” Awards, presented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Spain. This recognition places the olive oil produced by the cooperative among the best in the country, achieving second place in the category of ripe fruity extra virgin olive oils.
These awards are designed to promote the highest‑quality extra virgin olive oils and strengthen their market positioning. The jury particularly highlighted the organoleptic balance, aromatic complexity, and distinctive character of the oil submitted by the Montbrió Cooperative.
This accolade adds to a strong and consolidated track record: in 2001 the cooperative won first place in this very same award, and over the years it has been recognized in numerous competitions that acknowledge the quality of its oil. This success is the result of the constant work of its members and a firm commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation in all production processes.
From the cultivation of the olives to the final production, every stage is carried out with the highest rigor and respect for the environment, ensuring a product of excellence.
For the cooperative, this recognition is a source of pride for the entire team and for the region as a whole. It encourages them to continue working with the same passion and commitment to offer a product of excellence to their customers.
With this distinction, the Montbrió Cooperative consolidates its position as a benchmark in the olive oil sector and helps to strengthen the international prestige of oils protected under the DOP Siurana PDO, recognized for their quality, authenticity, and deep roots in the region.
